8th Grade Edgewood Class of 2026,

We are looking forward to celebrating our Edgewood 8th grade graduates! Here are the details of year end events and activities:

8th Grade Graduation Important Dates:

• Friday, May 29th: Graduation robes will be distributed at the end of the day

• Monday, June 1st, 6:30-8:00 PM: 8th Grade Class Graduation Party- SkyZone @ Deerfield location 

• Wednesday, June 3rd, During School: 8th Grade Student Breakfast at Edgewood

• Wednesday, June 3rd, During School: 8th Grade Graduation Rehearsal at HPHS   

• Wednesday, June 3rd, 4:30 PM: 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony at HPHS

Important To Do’s for Parents/Guardians:

• RSVP by 5/22 for the 8th Grade Party at SkyZone

The Edgewood 8th Grade party will be held at SkyZone in Deerfield on Monday, June 1st from 6:30-8:00 P.M. The party is hosted by the PTO for Edgewood 8th-grade students only and will include food and dessert!

Students are expected to stay at the party until pickup time. In and out privileges will not be allowed.  Parent volunteers will be supervising the event, so please sign up to VOLUNTEER.  Pick up will begin at 7:45 PM. Please make sure that students are picked up by 8:00 PM. RSVP now!

• Graduation Yard Sign

To raise funds for all of our graduation activities, the PTO will be coordinating a sale of Congratulations Graduate yard signs.  This purchase is optional to all families and is designed as a fundraiser for the PTO.  Signs will be installed on (or around) Saturday, May 30 (weather permitting).  The deadline to purchase a Graduate Yard Sign is Friday, May 1st.  Purchase your sign HERE.

• Submit Student Photos for Breakfast Slideshow

The PTO will be creating a slideshow to be shown during the Graduation Breakfast. Parents can submit up to three photos of their student for inclusion in this compilation. Photos should depict their student during their tenure at Edgewood. Photos can be submitted here: tdsilver15@gmail.com by May 1st.

• Make Sure Your Student Brings Home a Robe on Friday, May 29th

All 8th graders have been assigned a robe according to their height. Graduation robes will be distributed at the end of the day during SSB. If your child is absent on May 29th, they can get their robe on Monday, June 1st. 

• Graduation will be Wednesday, June 3rd in the Exhibition gym at Highland Park HS at 4:30pm. 

No tickets required, seating is first come first serve. The school will be sending more information regarding accessible seating and event details in the next few weeks.

• Return Graduation Robe on 6/3 Immediately Following the Graduation Ceremony

After the ceremony, there will be volunteers with bins collecting robes so the next graduating class can reuse them. Please remember to take photos with the robe before the ceremony so volunteers can quickly return the robes back to Edgewood.

• Make a Contribution

Parents wishing to make a financial contribution to this year’s end of the year events and activities can make a donation HERE.
